I got a chance to watch the new PBS documentary on the life and teachings of the Buddha and found myself truly moved. David Grubin did a fantastic job of capturing the voices, perspectives and the deep compassion inherent in the teachings of Buddhism. Richard Gere narrates this beautiful work.

I watched this program and found it very interesting. I think it’s important to learn about other religions in order to gain insight on both competing ideas and those which are in line with ours, whether you are religious or not.
